Wycliffe

WYCLIFFE

Almost 3600 of the world's approximately 7400 languages do not yet have a translation of the Bible. This means that many millions of people in the world's smallest population groups do not have the opportunity to encounter the words of the Bible in a language they understand and call their own. The mother tongue is the language of the heart, and when people hear the Word of God in their mother tongue, God becomes present and real.

At Wycliffe, we want all people to have the Bible in a language they call their own. That is why we work to translate the Bible into minority languages, and the development of written languages, mother tongue education and Bible use are part of that work. A written language and a translation of the Bible also provide opportunities for better education, status for oppressed groups and the preservation of language and culture for posterity.

MADE IN HOPE - MANILLA

The organization MadeInHope, led by Michelle Talention, works to help women escape trafficking, which is now considered the second largest criminal industry in the world, second only to drug trafficking. Once the women have been rescued, MadeInHope works to give the women and their children new opportunities in life by providing education and skills that can eventually lead to work and self-sufficiency. At the same time, they begin a healing process through counseling, intercession and mentoring that will help them move forward safely.

MAF

MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship)

There are 1.1 billion people in the world who live below the international poverty line.

962 million of them live in isolated rural areas without adequate access to healthcare, education and the Christian church.

These are the people that MAF, the world's largest humanitarian airline, is put into the world to help, give hope, and show the gospel in action and word.

MAF's 117 planes land where the roads end.

Lack of infrastructure and roads is a major problem in many countries in terms of creating better conditions for the local population.

MAF therefore flies to more than 1,000 communities in 24 countries, and MAF's 117 aircraft are an important link between the most isolated regions and the rest of the world.

It is doctors and nurses who are flown out where there are no clinics or hospitals, it is the critically ill who are flown to the hospital, and vaccines that are guaranteed safe transport to rural areas.

There are also pastors who fly out to preach the gospel, Bibles so people can learn about God for themselves, and materials that are transported for water wells, school construction, and much more.

Annually, this amounts to over 130,000 passengers and over 4 million kg of cargo, which reaches people who are otherwise cut off from help. Link to MAF's website HERE!

MARIA
