Aarhus Valgmenighed is a vibrant contemporary evangelical church in Aarhus. We believe in the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our worship services consist of a renewed style of the familiar church elements: sermon, communion, worship, and fellowship.
Our church community invites people from all walks of life and of all ages: children, adults, and students alike. We believe that God wants to change our everyday life into a living discipleship with Jesus, and our vision is “With God - for Aarhus” - inspired by Jer. 29:7, “...seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
SUNDAY SERVICES
10:00 am service
This service is also streamed live on our YouTube channel, so you can follow it from your own living room here. So far there is no translation available during this service (but we are working on that!).
Kids' church
During the 10:00 am service, separate activities for kids of different age groups are offered. These activities are held in Danish.
12:30 pm service - with translation
This service is not streamed online but is translated.
Wireless headsets are available, enabling you to sit anywhere you like and enjoy the service. Please find the headphones at the back of the main church room or ask someone for help.
INTERNATIONAL
COMMUNITY
We know that the Danish language can be difficult, and it's important to us that you have a community in this city where you feel at home. We seek to fulfil this with our smaller community evenings, where all events are held in English.
The International Community meets fortnightly on Wednesdays 7:30pm at Sara & Keld Dahlmann’s house for a bible study: Tingvej 44, 8210 Aarhus V. We welcome people of all backgrounds and nationalities to worship and sharing life together in prayer and fellowship.
